Thesepatternedsterling silver curly Q beads are handmade by artisan Janet Wolery. These are etched with a square/rectangular checkerboard pattern. They are available in four sizes - 21mm, 26mm, 33mm, and 38mm in both sterling silver and gold filled. Also described as a double "s" and three dimensional bead.They are made of 2mm hollow metal tubing so you strand right through it. Due to the extreme curviness you cannot use a needle, threader, or threadlike stranding material. I use Softflex.019 nylon coated beading wire (49 strands of stainless steel). There is a very similar Beadalon stranding wire as well. I am showinga sample strand here on fishing line to show their use with crystal and lampwork beads.I have these in my store which are not patterned also and those listing show some finished projects with their lengths. These would apply to the patterned onesthe same.You are buying the etched/patterned sterling silver curly-Qs only.
